Join us a for a short concert by the string quartet of Canada’s National Arts Centre Orchestra. They will be playing music from the First World War in the museum in a lunchtime concert lasting 40 minutes and featuring works by English composers Frank Bridge, John Ireland and Edward Elgar and Canadian composer Ernest MacMillan. MacMillan was in Europe when the Great War broke out and was interned for the duration in a civilian detention camp in Germany.
