There is so much more to the museum than meets the eye. Many of our facilities are also available for hire.
Current Museum COVID measures

- the wearing of a face mask or covering is at visitors' (and staff/volunteer) discretion

Museum Café
The Museum Café has great coffee, a daily specials board, light lunches, cakes and cream teas. There is a 10% discount for museum members and payments can by made by cash or card. The cafe also has visitor Wifi and the best view of Salisbury Cathedral in town! the cafe is open every day from 10am to 3pm. Call 01722 433100 to make a reservation.
Museum Shop
The museum shop offers a carefully curated selection of wonderful book titles for children and adults – ideal for history-loving, curious-minded would-be collectors, curators and archaeologists of all ages – alongside exclusive gifts based on the museum’s collection, and locally sourced gifts, from children’s colour-in textiles, to amazing locally-produced scented candles, luxury chocolate, local honey and even beeswax wraps (with Jurassic designs of course!). And, of course, we stock the Salisbury edition of Monopoly.
Toilets/Baby Care Facilities
Toilets are situated near the coffee shop. The disabled toilet also provides modest baby care facilities.
Lecture Hall
The Lecture Hall is regularly used for the museum’s own lectures and is available for private hire by local groups and businesses. Seating up to 120, we can offer hire of a laptop, digital projector and flip charts. The Lecture Hall has Wifi.
This is also a perfect venue for children's parties, offering plenty of space for activities with an outdoor area of grass right outside.
Meetings Room
The Meetings Room is available for private hire and is suitable for smaller events. It can comfortably seat 12 boardroom style. It offers a private and exclusive location to meet. The Meetings Room has Wifi. Please note this venue is on the First Floor, access by stairs only.
This room is also available to visiting school groups.
