Emily Naish has been the archivist at Salisbury Cathedral since 2014 and is responsible for the care of thousands of documents from the medieval period right up to the present day. Emily has worked with a variety of archive collections during her career and although each archive has its own specific characteristics and needs, the principles of the care and management of all archives remain essentially the same. Emily’s talk will include what it is an archivist actually does with specific reference to the Cathedral archive.
