In the post-war period, British art developed a wide range of subjects, narratives and styles. In this series of five talks by Paul Chapman, there will be the opportunity to discover many painters and their ideas. It was a time of great variation and innovation. Topics covered will include – landscape and sculpture of the St Ives School, the figurative painters of the London School, the social realism of the Kitchen Sink painters, the Pop Art of the 1960s and much more.
