Stonehenge Macehead
Polished macehead made from gneiss found associated with a cremation burial (human ashes) at Stonehenge. The stone it is made from probably came from the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. It was a highly prestigous object that would have been highly valued by its original owner.
